Two things I want to share with you today
A personal moment, and something I've been building quietly for months.
Hi there,
This isn’t a normal email from me. It’s an extra one this week.
No frameworks, no teardowns today. Just a personal moment I wanted to share, and something I’ve been building quietly that’s finally ready.
First: I won an award last week
The Guess the Test Community Educational Content Award 🎉.
I awkwardly stuttered my way through a short acceptance speech (there were so many incredible names there, and I genuinely didn’t think I’d win). And it took a moment to really take it in.
Maybe once the physical award arrives it’ll feel more real 😅.
Here’s why it matters to me:
I have spent years creating content about growth and experimentation. Most of it free.
Not because I had to, but because I genuinely love teaching.
Even at university, I’d take on extra classes as a side job just because helping people learn something gave me a feeling I couldn’t replicate anywhere else.
Winning that felt like recognition of something I care about deeply. And it gave me the push to finally announce this properly.
Second: I’m running a personal branding cohort. And I want you to know about it.
Alongside Lucia van den Brink and Marcella Sullivan through Women in Experimentation, I’ve been building something for women in growth, product, marketing, data, and experimentation.
One thing I’ve always taught — informally, through WiE, through the UPSPEAK challenge with Convert — is how to build a personal brand and post on LinkedIn.
Because it’s brought me enormous value, and I know how hard it is to dare to speak up, especially in fields where women are already fighting to be heard.
So we’re scaling it up. Properly.
The Personal Branding Cohort: July 10–24
What you get:
A positioning statement that makes you instantly recognisable
A content strategy built on your actual expertise
A fully optimised LinkedIn profile
Your first post written, workshopped, and published before it ends
2 1.5 hour live sessions + a full video course + a workbook to keep
Price: £258
One more thing, and this is the part I’m most proud of…
Not everyone can invest right now. But that doesn’t mean they need this less.
For every ticket sold, we’re giving a free seat to someone who’s out of work or going through a tough time financially.
If that’s you, please apply. No questions asked.
And if you know someone who’d benefit, paid or free, please share this with them.
It’s really appreciated. See you again on Thursday, where we’ll dive into a completely different topic: what is a growth engineer, and do you need one?
Daphne
